After 3 plus years of waiting we finally got a picture of our little princess. Her Chinese name is Feng YuYe. Her American name is Lauren Alexis Arwine. Vina and I are over the moon.
Right now she's at the Fengxin SWI(Orphanage) in Jiangxi Province of the Peoples Republic of China.
She's a tiny little bit. 13-14 lbs, 25 inches long. She's got a big head like her daddy. 41cm around. Her chest is 42 cm. She's got her mama's nose and eyes.
Her Birthday is January 20th, 2008. Making her 8 and a half months old.
We had our Chinese dentist do a little translating ahead of the official translation of all of her adoption paperwork that comes next week. She was found in a doorway of a government office on February 16th so her family kept her almost a month before giving her away. We may never know the reasons but it must have been a very difficult decision. Especially after almost a month. But then it's decision we're glad her parents made.
Looks like we will be going to get her right after Christmas. We'd be on a plane now but you have to please the bureaucrats.
